BackgroundIn my previous Blog: described my investigations into the power consumption of a Wemos d1 mini ESP8266 device, powered by an 18650 2400mAh Li-ion battery, via a Wemos battery shield which has the same form factor as the d1 mini. The Wemos was reading from two DS18B20 temperature probes an.
Monitor power supplies or other low voltage DC supplies with Home Assistant and an ESP8266 D1 Mini ADC circuit. Use an external voltage sensor module voltage
Actually, the D1 Mini schematic shows a diode between the USB input and the 5V pin, so if your power supply is connected to the USB port, the second diode would not be necessary. A diode between the batteries and D1 is also helpful because it lowers the voltage a tiny bit, and 4 fresh cells would be above 6V, and that may be pretty close to the
First step is to detach the switch board and power the D1 mini alone to see if it is still causing reboot. – hcheung. Jun 29, 2020 at 0:36. @hcheung I suspect something like the NeoPixel or WiFi part is coming up and the causing problems. I get exactly the same behaviour (constant resetting) with just the D1 mini alone, or the D1 plus
Wemos D1 powered by 5V pin won't boot. Using Arduino Project Guidance. rolandow December 22, 2020, 3:07pm #1. I am trying to build a simple LED strip driver with 2 PIR's on it. I created a little prototype board with some mosfets and a buck converter to go from 12v to 5v. The PIR sensors also need 5V so I thought it made sense to use that.

1. The TP4056 Module will output a max of 4.2V which is less than the 5V the Wemos D1 Mini is expecting on its 5V connection (Assuming you have connected the circuit as shown in the Github guide). When the solar panel is charging it's likely that the TP4056 is causing a driving issue on the supply of the Wemos causing it to potentially Brownout .
